TO BELIEVE OR NOT TO BELIEVE, THAT IS THE QUESTION (SCIENCE)
If you don't believe
in something because you can't ascertain experimental evidence, aren't you
merely stating that due to current inability to understanding and developing
experimental apparatuses causes you to not believe? So, it is a lack of
understanding and development to prove or disprove the theory that causes one to
disbelieve. Granted, once the ability is acquired to prove or disprove, it may just disprove the theory; but it is at that point scientist should write it off. The true issue is not the theory itself, instead, it is the
technological and academic incompetence of the time. We know this to be true
due to scientific advancements from generation to generation (time). The more
we study and further our understanding, we will acquire the ability that will
allow us to prove or disprove certain scientific theories. Basically, one
shouldn't disbelieve because one cannot prove a theory due to one's academic
and technological incompetence. At this point we find the human's hubris, arrogance,
and stubbornness. People cling to things they believe they understand and
release or ridicule things that they don't understand. Notice how people call
you stupid if you say something that sounds impractical to them-granted, some
things people say are simply ignorant.
