SEARCHING FOR THE UNSEEN MIND (PHILOSOPHY, QUANTUM PHYSICS)

The Unseen Mind Hypothesis (UMH) suggests there is a universal consciousness. The hypothesis doesn't suggest what this mind is (i.e, God); it only acknowledge the presence of a Creative Force that appears to create with purpose.

Many believe that all of the coincidences in nature are not purposeful, but they are merely accidental. In this case, chance is God. Some believe chance and natural forces created complex systems and consciousness. All, according to standard belief, which came from nothing. So, nothing begat something; something begat life; and life begat consciousness? But this way of thinking goes against what we know about the natural word: nothing begets nothing; life begets life, etc. The Unseen Mind Hypothesis propose that there is an unseen creative consciousness in the universe. Life itself is evidence of its existence.

Life computes information. It's genetic material is coded. Life receives and outputs information. Our computers have these same fundamental functions. But life is more complex than any machine man has ever built. Although life and computers have these things in common, some insist that life has no designer or engineer. Because life is a creation, there must be a designer and engineer. The Unseen Mind Hypothesis (which is not concluded) holds the position that the designer and engineer of life is conscious.

What the hypothesis doesn't suggest is that this consciousness is all knowing, all mighty, loving, forgiving, demands worship, etc. Since the Unseen Mind is invisible, it is impossible (at this time, and maybe indefinitely) to know what or where it is-let alone know how it feels and what it thinks.

The UMH holds the position that there is an intelligent consciousness outside the mind of man. It merely suggests that man's mind is not the zenith of creation. The Unseen Mind Hypothesis challenges and scrutinizes man's anthropocentric views. Is there consciousness equal or superior to man's consciousness elsewhere in the universe? This question is a fundamental aspect in the Unseen Mind Hypothesis. Stay tuned, more to come on this.
